Have your say

How do you think development should work better? The world is changing incredibly fast. We need to find better ways to work together to deliver real change in the lives of millions of people. The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development and the United Nations Development Programme invite you to share feedback and ideas that can help to grow an inclusive, multi-stakeholder partnership for development co-operation in support of sustainable development. This will build on the existing Global Partnership for Effective Development Co-operation.

This survey will run from 10 May to 24 May, after which a summary will be shared in order to guide your continued engagement in a Global Partnership online consultation. Your participation will inform preparations for the Second High-Level Meeting of the Global Partnership, to be hosted by Kenya, 28 November - 1 December 2016.

Our SDGs website

Development Perspectives is launching a new challenge to support the global movement towards the Sustainable Development Goals. Each month will be focused on one of the 17 goals. Everyone can get involved with a simple action (no matter how small) that contributes to eradicating poverty and hunger in your area. The idea is to share all the positive actions on a central forum so it is easy to see how, as an individual, you can contribute to the collective effect. Actions can be recorded by photographs, videos, blogs, interviews, news articles, emails and other creative means.

The United Nation’s first-ever High-Level Panel on Women’s Economic Empowerment wants to hear from you!

As a previous respondent to the UN's MY World survey to inform the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) you are invited to be the first respondents to the UN's latest citizen survey on women's empowerment.

This year sees the start of the SDGs: 17 Goals  to build a better world for everyone by 2030. Goal 5 is Gender Equality, which recognises that women’s empowerment – particularly economic empowerment – is critical in ending extreme poverty. This survey aims to find out, from people around the world, what are the best ways to support women to get better jobs, earn more money and start or run a business.

THE SURVEY RESULTS will be shared with the UN High-Level Panel for Women’s Economic Empowerment who will release a report in September 2016 to the UN Secteray-General containing key recommendations on how to put more money in the hands of women. The results will inform world leaders of what people think are the barriers to progress, what could help accelerate change, and HOW to address these challenges.

Your voice is important! Please take the survey HERE and help us spread the word through your networks. If your organisation would like to support please find the social media pack HERE.

Thank you!
