A Zero Carbon Act for New Zealand

26 April 12:30pm - 1:30pm
Rutherford House, Lecture theatre 2, Victoria University, Wellington

In this lecture, Mr Upton will discuss his recently released report A Zero Carbon Act for New Zealand.

In the report, the Commissioner gave detailed advice to Parliament on plans for a UK-style Zero Carbon Act and independent Climate Commission – a system advocated by his predecessor, Dr Jan Wright.

The Commissioner made nine recommendations on what he sees as some of the more critical elements in the formation of the legislation and the ensuing Climate Commission.
