Livestream: Regional Conference on Women and the Future of Work in Asia and the Pacific

31 January 3:15pm - 1 February 12:00am
Amari Watergate Hotel, Bangkok, Thailand

Cimate change, technology, casualisation of work, demographics, globalization, migration... These drivers are radically transforming the world of work as we know it. In a world that has never been more uncertain, women continue to be under-valued and under-utilised, despite being the most ‘game-changing’ resource for a fair and prosperous society.

So what is the future of work that we want? How fair can we all make the future of work? How can we shape, manage and encourage change so that women have an equal stake in the world of work?

As part of the ILO’s Future of Work Centenary Initiative, the Conference on ‘Women and the Future of Work in Asia and the Pacific’, sponsored by the Australian Government and hosted by the International Labour Organization (ILO), attempts to answer these fundamental questions and to chart a path forward.

Leaders from across Asia and the Pacific - government, unions, business, and academia - will highlight the tools and policies needed to ensure that women have an equal share in the region’s economic potential.

The conference will serve as a forum to shape evidence-based policy recommendations to inform decision-makers on where best to invest efforts and resources to create a better future of work for all.
