The Role
The Indonesia Young Leaders Programme Coordinator will play a pivotal role in supporting and delivering the Indonesia Young Leaders Programme, aimed at developing highly skilled young leaders from Indonesia. This part-time, Auckland-based position, involves managing various programme aspects, including mentoring and hosting arrangements, event organisation, travel coordination, and administration.
Working hours are flexible and working from home arrangements can be agreed with the Programme Manager, in accordance with the Programme needs.
There will be the opportunity to travel to Indonesia and meet the Programme participants in-country.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing logistics and administration for the programme, including visa processing and travel arrangements.
- Overseeing programme promotion, selection processes, and administration.
- Coordinating the Programme participants introduction to New Zealand, including financial and logistical support.
- Supporting the Programme Manager with curriculum planning and workshop facilitation.
- Organising events and extra-curricular activities for the Programme participants in New Zealand.
- Overseeing the administration of a mentor programme and host family arrangements.
Requirements
- Tech-savvy administrator with proven experience in managing systems and processes.
- Strong initiative combined with creative problem-solving skills.
- Highly organised with the ability to multitask, prioritise workloads, and work under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to build relationships and engage effectively with diverse groups of people.
- Committed to continuous learning and professional growth within the organisation.
- Supportive and collaborative team player.
- Understanding and appreciation of te ao Māori.
- Positive attitude, integrity, and a good sense of humour.
Desirable
- Experience or interest in international development.
- Cross-cultural experience.
