A State of Emergency was declared in Somalia this week following the extreme and devastating flooding that has hit the nation.
As of November 6, the Deyr, October-December rainy season in Somalia, has impacted an estimated over 700,000 people through torrential rain and flooding, and displaced over 100,000. Up to 2,400 people may be trapped by flooding, and 10 have been killed.
This comes after last year when the nation experienced its worst drought for decades, with this years intense rainfall is being attributed to the El Niño.
