Support Vanuatu Earthquake Relief

The Council for International Development Aotearoa New Zealand has compiled a list of appeals from its member organisations to support those affected by the recent earthquake in Vanuatu. These appeals provide a trusted way for New Zealanders to contribute to the relief and recovery efforts.

Vanuatu was hit by a powerful 7.3 magnitude earthquake on Tuesday, 17 December, followed by strong aftershocks, leading to widespread devastation. Thousands of people have been impacted, with around 51,000 individuals residing in the hardest-hit areas, where vital infrastructure and buildings have been extensively damaged. Tragically, lives have been lost, and many others have been injured. Communities are urgently in need of immediate assistance.

Each NGO listed is actively working on the ground or partnering with local organisations to provide critical support, including food, shelter, and healthcare.
