One year after Vanuatu was struck by twin cyclones, the resilient island nation continues to grapple with the aftermath of the devastating natural disasters. Despite intensive efforts to rebuild and recover, life remains challenging for many of its inhabitants. The cyclones, which hit in quick succession, caused widespread damage to homes, infrastructure, and agricultural lands, exacerbating existing vulnerabilities and economic strains within the community.
The road to recovery has been slow and arduous, with communities still facing significant obstacles in rebuilding their lives. Access to supplies such as clean water, shelter, and healthcare remains limited in many areas. The resilience of the Vanuatu people is evident as they continue to persevere through adversity, but the journey towards full recovery will require sustained support and assistance from both local and international partners.
